Fantasy Football Trade Advice: Marquise Brown, Javonte Williams, Michael Mayer (Week 7)

Week six has come and gone, and based on how this season has gone, you’re likely dealing with someone on your roster dealing with an injury. Don’t sweat it! As always, we’ve got you covered here with early trade advice for week seven.

Fantasy Football Trade Advice

Three Players to Buy

Marquise Brown (WR – ARI)

Don’t look now, but Marquise Brown is averaging nearly nine targets per game through the first six weeks of the 2023 season, and I’m not expecting that to change any time soon. Brown’s 34 receiving yards against the Los Angeles Rams were his second-lowest in any game this season and lowest since week one against the Washington Commanders. Coming off of a slightly disappointing game, now is the time to go out and float some “buy low” offers for Hollywood. He will remain the focal point of the Cardinals’ passing attack, and better days are ahead.

Javonte Williams (RB – DEN)

The stats don’t jump off the page for Javonte Williams this season, but the tape tells a different story. After missing week five against the New York Jets, Williams returned in week six to face the Chiefs and started to look more like the player we were used to seeing before his knee injury in 2022. He looked decisive and strong running the ball against the Chiefs, and the Broncos would be wise to keep feeding him. He has a good matchup in week seven against the Green Bay Packers, and I think we will start to see Sean Payton and the Broncos offense lean on Williams more than they have to this point in the 2023 season.

Michael Mayer (TE – LV)

Welcome to the NFL, Michael Mayer! After an extremely quiet first five weeks, Mayer broke out to the tune of five receptions and 75 receiving yards in week six against the New England Patriots. He especially looked good at creating yards after the catch in week six, and I fully expect his role to continue to grow as the season rolls on. We all know how fickle the tight end position can be for fantasy purposes. If you aren’t rostering a locked and loaded top option at the tight end position, I’d explore making a move for Mayer. In redraft formats, there’s a real chance he isn’t rostered, and if that’s the case, he’s a priority add for tight end needy managers.
