Fantasy Football Trade Advice: Jameson Williams, Javonte Williams, Chris Olave (Week 8)

Winning the trade market is at least as important as nailing the draft. Aside from the waiver wire’s massive impact in the season’s first few weeks, trading is the best way to improve your squad quickly. Great buy-low moves can set you up for victory in the short term and down the stretch. Solid sell-high deals can get you big hauls for overachieving players who likely won’t sustain their production.

Here are all the players the experts are trading this week. Below we dive into a few notable names. And be sure to check out our weekly trade value chart with updated values for all players.

Fantasy Football Trade Advice: Week 8

Chris Olave (WR – NO)

Chris Olave came into the season with fantasy owners dreaming of owning a WR1. He hasn’t performed to that level. He also was just arrested for going 35 miles over the speed limit….but he is very talented. Talent always wins over bad luck or, in this case, bad QB play. Grab him while he is in the news for the arrest, and enjoy him come the second half of the season and playoff time. You could send the following players or a combination/package with D’Onta Foreman, Zay Flowers, Drake London, or Darrell Henderson to acquire this talented, young wide receiver.”
Adam Dove (The Fantasy Couriers)

Bijan Robinson (RB – ATL)

Bijan Robinson was considered an easy first-round pick in fantasy drafts, with good reason. Just watch Robinson play, and you see the electricity with which he moves. The only thing holding him back is his coach, Arthur Smith. Robinson’s simply too good not to get more touches as the season goes along, and he has an incredibly friendly schedule during the fantasy playoffs (weeks 15 – 17). Would trade any RB other than McCaffrey, Ekeler, Etienne, and Walker for him. ”
Neema Hodjat (Real GM)

Javonte Williams (RB – DEN)

“I’m buying low on Javonte Williams. After a slow start to the season that was hampered by injury rehab, Williams saw his snap share and fantasy production hit a season-high in Week 7. Fantasy managers seem to be low on him, and many have even suggested he has lost his job to Jaleel McLaughlin. This is simply not the case, as Williams out-snapped McLaughlin 53% to 17% in Week 7. This is still Javonte’s job, and as he gets healthier and closer to 100%, he will see an eruption of fantasy managers who held onto him. ”
Aaron St Denis (The League Winners)

Jameson Williams (WR – DET)

Jameson Williams combines elite athleticism with prototypical size and was on my sleeper list this summer. He showed a glimpse of his talent with an incredible touchdown catch vs Tampa Bay. Unfortunately, the windy conditions last week in Baltimore were not ideal for the vertical passing game. However, the Lions’ favorable schedule, as well as an increased workload, gives me grounds for optimism. WHO WOULD YOU GIVE UP FOR JAMESON WILLIAMS? Jahan Dotson, Diontae Johnson, Terry McLaurin, DeAndre Hopkins, or Terry McLaurin. Ringo’s comps- Jameson Williams reminds me of a poor man’s Randy Moss. He’s that explosive and a potential league winner if given a chance imo. ”
Mark Ringo (Sleepers and Busts)
