Fantasy Football Trade Advice: De’Von Achane, DJ Moore, Joshua Dobbs (Week 5)

Winning the trade market is at least as important as nailing the draft. Aside from the waiver wire’s massive impact in the season’s first few weeks, trading is the best way to improve your squad quickly. Great buy-low moves can set you up for victory in the short term and down the stretch. Solid sell-high deals can get you big hauls for overachieving players who likely won’t sustain their production.

Here are all players experts plan to buy and sell this week. Belowe we dive into a few notable trade candidates. And be sure to check out our weekly trade value chart with updated values for all players.

Fantasy Football Trade Advice: Week 5

De’Von Achane (RB – MIA)

De’von Achane is my equivalent of a microwaved pizza pop. The wonderful aroma of pizza takes you over as you remove it from the microwave. To the touch, the outside is a perfect warm temperature encapsulating the pizza’y goodness inside. You take a bite… BAM, you’re burned. Last week, in a game where Raheem Mostert fumbled twice, Achane only had eight carries and three receptions. Now, Jeff Wilson Jr. should be returning this week, further limiting the touches available. Although Achane is electric, it’s tough to trust 11 touches a week to be an every-week fantasy producer. I would trade him for a more consistent volume such as James Conner and Dameon Pierce.”
Ellis Johnson (RotoBaller)

DJ Moore (WR – CHI)

D.J. Moore absolutely broke out this weekend, and he still has name value. The Bears played the 32nd-best defense, and they get Washington this week. Fields could also be on this list. Chicago has been one of the worst offenses in the league, and I am not betting on the idea that they figured it out. Trade D.J. Moore for a more reliable option before it is too late.”

Joshua Dobbs (QB – ARI)

Joshua Dobbs is likely on the waiver wire in most 1-QB leagues. However, he’s a sell-high guy for me in superflex leagues after he scored 23.4 fantasy points against the San Francisco 49ers, as his time is limited. Kyler Murray will return at some point this season, and the Arizona Cardinals could always give Clayton Tune a chance to start as the losses pile up. I would flip Dobbs for a quarterback with more season-long certainty coming off a down performance like Jared Goff. Also, see if the team with Joe Burrow or Trevor Lawrence has grown frustrated and would be willing to do a two-for-one trade centered around Dobbs and a low-end WR2.”
