Fantasy Football Trade Advice: Brian Robinson, Christian Watson, Deshaun Watson (Week 8)

Another week of the 2023 NFL season is mostly in the books, and it’s time to hit the trade market in your league! It’s never a bad idea to get ahead of your league mates and hit explore potential trade options early in the week. Here is all our early fantasy football trade advice for Week 8.

Fantasy Football Trade Advice

Three Players to Sell

Brian Robinson (RB – WAS)

Brian Robinson started the 2023 season by carrying the ball 19 times in week one and followed that up by carrying the ball 18 times in week two. Since then, it’s been a less-than-ideal situation that has been kept somewhat afloat thanks to touchdowns. Since week two, he has only topped ten rushing attempts in a game once (week four against the Eagles) and lost some work to rookie running back Chris Rodriguez Jr.in week seven. Robinson isn’t a player I’m looking to sell by any means necessary, but it’s worth dangling his name in trade talks if there’s a potential upgrade to be made.

Christian Watson (WR – GB)

Christian Watson is a good young player who you shouldn’t be in a rush to move on from, but he might find himself in a situation where it’s tough to command most of the receiving work for the Packers. Watson was tied for the team lead in targets in week seven with three other players (Romeo Doubs, Luke Musgrave, and Aaron Jones). If he isn’t going to dominate targets in Green Bay, you get left playing a little bit of a dangerous game, hoping he makes a big play every week. While that may be fine if you have the requisite depth to stomach it, looking for more consistency elsewhere could also make sense.

Deshaun Watson (QB – CLE)

Nothing has gone according to plan for Deshaun Watson in 2023. He’s dealt with injuries, and when he has been out there, he hasn’t resembled the player we grew accustomed to seeing in Houston. He completed one pass in five attempts and had an interception before being forced out of the game in week seven due to injury. There are plenty of other playable options at quarterback right now, and if anyone in your league is still willing to trade for Watson, I’m willing to let him go and find my quarterback production elsewhere.
