Fantasy Football Outlook: Chris Godwin, Josh Palmer, Amari Cooper, Drake London

Fantasy Football Outlook

Drake London: Since Week 2, London has averaged 7.5 targets, 4.3 receptions, and 51 receiving yards. While I wish London were fed the weekly volume he deserves, his production over the last four games has been good enough for WR31 in fantasy. Over his last four games, London has a 21.6% target share, a 30.5% air-yard share, 1.47 YPRR, and a 25.5% first-read share. He has led the team in that stretch with four end-zone targets. If Ridder does attack the Commanders, deep London will be part of the gameplan. He is tied for the team lead in deep targets (six). Week 6 Positional Value: WR3

Amari Cooper: Cooper has a 21.7% target share, a 41.4% air-yard share, 1.96 YPRR, and a 30.1% first-read share. The 49ers utilize zone coverage on 73.5% of their coverage snaps (13th-highest). Against zone, Cooper hasn’t seen much of a bump this season. His air-yard share has increased slightly to 42.7% while his YPRR has dipped to 1.81. The 49ers have been tough on wide receivers this season, holding them to the 11th-fewest fantasy points and sixth-fewest receiving touchdowns. Cooper will run about 76% of his routes against Deommodore Lenior (72.2% catch rate and 77.4 passer rating) and Charvarius Ward (60.7% catch rate and 66.2 passer rating). Week 6 Positional Value: WR3

Chris Godwin: Godwin has a 23% target share, a 28.3% air-yard share, 2.28 YPRR, and a 30.5% first read share as he has transitioned back to being a perimeter receiver (65% wide) this season. The Lions have utilized zone coverage on 71.3% of their snaps this season. Against zone, Godwin has seen his YPRR drop to 1.73 and his first-read share dip to 28.6%. These are still healthy figures, but the decline is noteworthy. Godwin is the WR39 in fantasy, but better days are ahead as he’s the WR20 in expected fantasy points. He has the third-most red zone targets among wide receivers, but he still has zero touchdowns. Godwin will tangle with Cameron Sutton (66.7% catch rate and 108.7 passer rating) and Jerry Jacobs (64.9% catch rate and 75.2 passer rating) all day. Week 6 Positional Value: WR3

Josh Palmer: Against man coverage, Palmer has a 16.0% target share, a 15.9% air-yard share, 2.08 YPRR, and an 18.6% first-read share. Palmer has been a top-36 wide receiver in each of his last two games (WR29, WR35). Palmer ranks 16th among receivers with seven deep targets. Week 6 Positional Value: WR4
