David Montgomery is dealing with a cartilage issue in his ribs and will be out for ‘a little bit’, according to HC Dan Campbell.

HC Dan Campbell told reporters on Monday that Montgomery will be out for ‘a little bit’ because of a cartilage issue in his ribs. He suffered the injury in Sunday’s win over the Buccaneers, and now it sounds like he may have to miss Week 7’s game against the Ravens as a result. Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) is reportedly trending in the right direction for the game, so both he and Craig Reynolds could get a lot of work if the veteran is unable to play on Sunday.

Zay Jones (knee) was listed as a non-participant on Jacksonville’s practice estimation on Monday.

A knee injury has been bothering Jones for several weeks now, and he wouldn’t have practiced on Monday if the Jaguars had more than a walkthrough. They play on Thursday night, so that doesn’t give the veteran much hope of recovering in time for the game. He’s trending towards missing this week, which will lead to more work for Christian Kirk and Evan Engram against the Saints.

Jamaal Williams (hamstring) was estimated as a limited participant in Monday’s practice, which means that the team has officially designated him to return from IR.

Williams has been on IR for several weeks while nursing a hamstring injury, but the team included him on Monday’s practice estimate, which means that they’re designating him to return. His 21-day practice window will be open, but it feels like a long shot that he will be ready to go by game time on Thursday. Whenever he’s back, he will take goal-line work away from Alvin Kamara and will likely take touches away from rookie Kendre Miller for the rest of the season.
