Khalil Herbert (ankle) non-participant in practice Wednesday

Khalil Herbert (ankle) was officially a non-participant in practice on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Herbert was unable to participate in practice on Wednesday. This was to be expected, as he suffered a high-ankle sprain in last week’s win over the Commanders. He’s expected to be out for a couple of weeks at least, which will leave Roschon Johnson (concussion) and D’Onta Foreman with more work in this backfield in his absence.

Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) officially limited Wednesday

Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) was officially limited in Detroit’s practice on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

St. Brown was limited at practice on Wednesday thanks to an abdomen injury that left him sidelined in Week 5. He’s day-to-day for the time being, but it sounds like he’s trending towards playing in Week 6. Logging a practice session this early in the week is a good sign, and his potential return would mean less work for Josh Reynolds in this offense moving forward.

Travis Kelce (ankle) officially questionable for Thursday Night Football

Chiefs’ All-Pro TE Travis Kelce, who has been limited throughout the week with an ankle injury, has been officially listed as questionable for Thursday’s home game against Denver.

Fantasy Impact

Kelce returned to the Chief’s Week 5 game against the Vikings after suffering a non-contact ankle injury late in the first half, salvaging his fantasy day with a second-half score. Kelce already missed Week 1, and if he were to miss Thursday’s game, it would be the first time the TE1 has missed multiple games since 2014. If Kelce does play Thursday, he is a must-start despite any potential limitations, but if he cannot go Duke product, Noah Gray will take over the TE1 duties.

Tank Dell (concussion) doesn’t practice Wednesday

Tank Dell (concussion) did not practice for the Texans on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Dell left last Sunday’s game early after taking a hit to the head, and now he’s in the NFL’s concussion protocols. He wasn’t able to practice on Wednesday, and although there’s no official word about his Week 6 status, reports are that he’s unlikely to play. The rookie has been good this year, so the team may need to look for John Metchie III or Robert Woods to play a bigger role if he’s out against the Saints.
