Roschon Johnson (concussion) misses practice Thursday

Chicago Bears RB Roschon Johnson (concussion) logged his second DNP of the week.

Fantasy Impact

It’s been harder to return in a week from concussions, and Johnson seems to be in line to miss at least one week. After failing to graduate from concussion protocol on Wednesday, it seems like Johnson won’t be back until Week 7. The Bears are dealing with numerous RB injuries and will likely turn to D’Onta Foreman as their RB1 in Week 6.

Saquon Barkley limited in practice Thursday

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) logged another limited practice on Thursday ahead of Week 6.

Fantasy Impact

It’s impossible to tell if Barkley is progressing or not from his practice reports. Barkley was a limited participant for the entirety of the week leading up to both Weeks 4 and 5, making this his eighth straight limited practice. He missed both those weeks with his ankle injury, making his status for Week 6 unclear until a more official designation comes out on Friday. If he misses again, the Giants will roll out a mixture of Eric Gray, Matt Breida and Gary Brightwell.

Miles Sanders (shoulder) misses second day of practice

Carolina Panthers RB Miles Sanders logged his second day of no practice this week, missing Thursday with his shoulder injury.

Fantasy Impact

It seems unlikely that Sanders will suit up on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, setting up RB Chuba Hubbard as the RB1 against one of the league’s most explosive offenses. Hubbard has averaged nine touches per game and 4.5 yards per touch this season and will likely see an increased workload, making him a low-end RB play in PPR formats.
