Pat Freiermuth says he will play Week 7

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth said he will play in Week 7 as he aims to return from his hamstring injury.

Fantasy Impact

Freiermuth played the first four games of the season before missing Week 5 with an injury. He had eight catches for 53 yards and two scores, which included two top-nine half-PPR TE weeks – both on weeks when he caught a TD. Freiermuth told reporters he would have been able to return in Week 6 if possible, but the Steelers had a bye week. He should be good to go and is always capable of putting up a top-10 TE performance.

Deshaun Watson (shoulder) ‘making progress,’ day-to-day

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is “making progress,” has resumed throwing and is considered day-to-day by head coach Kevin Stefanski.

Fantasy Impact

Watson is dealing with what has been called a deep bruised rotator cuff. After being close to playing in Week 4 but ultimately sitting out, Watson came out of the Week 5 bye week seemingly having made no progress. Stefanski says he’s seeing progress now, and there’s a chance he could be back by Week 7, though this week’s practice logs will be important.

Diontae Johnson (hamstring) has 21-day practice window opened

Diontae Johnson has been designated to return from IR and his 21-day practice window is officially open.

Fantasy Impact

Johnson has been out for several weeks while on IR because of a hamstring injury, but he is recovering well and has officially been designated to return. His 21-day practice window is now open, meaning that he can practice for up to three weeks before the team needs to activate him to the active roster. He’s said that he wants to return in Week 7, and if he is able to make his return, that will mean less work for George Pickens moving forward.
