Jonathan Taylor (ankle) estimated as a full participant Wednesday

According to Adam Schefter, Colts’ star RB Jonathan Taylor was a full participant in the team’s walkthrough Wednesday in his first action of the season. The Colts did not hold an official practice Wednesday, but Taylor was estimated to be a full participant in their walkthrough.

Fantasy Impact

If Taylor practices fully the entire week, there is a good chance he will take the field in Week 5 when the Colts take on Tennessee. There is still some uncertainty surrounding his long-term situation with the team, but with a trade seeming less imminent than ever, 2021’s leading rusher may be better off returning to the team that drafted him, at least for 2023. If Taylor does play, he will be a wide-range outcome asset for fantasy managers who managed to hold onto him throughout the drama of the last few months.

Saquon Barkley (ankle) officially limited Wednesday

Saquon Barkley, who has missed the last two games with a high ankle sprain, was officially limited in the Giants opening practice of the week.

Fantasy Impact

Barkley was a game-time decision in Week 4 but was not quite ready to take the field. If he can’t get in a full practice session by Friday, he will again carry a questionable designation into Sunday when the Giants travel to Miami to take on the Dolphins. If Barkley misses a third game, Matt Breida will again be in line to start.

Tee Higgins (rib) not practicing Wednesday

Tee Higgins (rib) sits out Wednesday’s practice session.

Fantasy Impact

Higgins suffered a rib injury in Week 4. The wide receiver does not expect to miss extended time, but his availability for Week 5 certainly seems to be in question. Tyle Boyd would likely see an uptick in targets should Higgins sit.

Breece Hall (knee) no longer on snap count

Breece Hall (knee) won’t be on a snap count moving forward, according to HC Robert Saleh.

Fantasy Impact

The Jets have been monitoring and limiting Hall’s usage all year as he works his way back from a torn ACL that ended his season last year, but now head coach Robert Saleh is telling reporters that the RB won’t be on a snap count moving forward. This indicates that he’s fully healthy and has the trust of the team moving forward. This is obviously great news, and it couldn’t have come at a better time than ahead of his juicy matchup against the terrible Broncos’ run defense in Week 5.
