He’s still expected to practice and play this week, according to HC Sean McVay, but this is still a situation worth monitoring for fantasy managers leading up to a tough Week 5 matchup against the Eagles.

Kenny Pickett (knee) has been diagnosed with a bone bruise in his knee and his status for Week 5 is uncertain.

Pickett left Sunday’s game early after suffering a knee injury, and he’s now being diagnosed with a bone bruise after having an MRI on his knee. He’s uncertain to play in Week 5, and the team may exercise caution and sit him with their bye week coming up in Week 6. This is good news for the second-year quarterback, and fantasy managers can expect Mitch Trubisky to get the start this week if Pickett is ruled out ahead of game time.
