Javonte Williams (hip) questionable for Week 5

Javonte Williams (hip) was a full participant at practice on Friday and is now questionable to play in Week 5.

Fantasy Impact

Williams hurt his hip in Week 4 and couldn’t return to the game, but he was able to log a full practice session on Friday and is now considered questionable to play in Week 5. The team will make a decision about his availability closer to game time, and if he’s active, that will mean that Jaleel McLaughlin should not be started in an already-tough matchup against the Jets.

Davante Adams (shoulder) doesn’t practice Friday

Davante Adams (shoulder) was a non-participant at practice for the Raiders on Friday.

Fantasy Impact

Adams suffered a pretty ugly shoulder injury during last week’s game, but he was able to fight through it and finish the game. Now, this week, he didn’t practice at all and is looking a little iffy for Monday night’s game against his former team. We should get more information about his status later this weekend, and fantasy managers can expect Jakobi Meyers to be a good fantasy play if the star wideout is unavailable in Week 5.

Jameson Williams listed questionable to play for Week 5

Jameson Williams is listed as questionable to play in Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy Impact

Williams practiced for the first time this week after serving a suspension the NFL gave him before the season, and now he’s listed as questionable to play on Sunday. That isn’t because of an injury, but the team just wants to make sure he’s fully ready to go and ramped up before getting him back out on the field. If he’s active, he’s probably not worth a start, although Amon-Ra St. Brown‘s possible absence would make him an intriguing upside option.

Jimmy Garoppolo (concussion) good to go for Week 5

Jimmy Garoppolo (concussion) has cleared the concussion protocol and will be good to go for Week 5.

Fantasy Impact

The Raiders had to start rookie Aidan O’Connell last week while Garoppolo was out, but he has since cleared the concussion protocols and is set to play and start this week. He shouldn’t be limited in any way, and his return means good things for the fantasy value of Davante Adams (shoulder) and Jakobi Meyers on Monday night.
