Javonte Williams (hip) returns to practice Thursday

Javonte Williams (hip) is present and practicing at Denver’s practice on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

Williams didn’t practice on Wednesday because of a hip injury that he suffered in Sunday’s win over the Bears, but now he’s back and participating at practice on Thursday. It remains to be seen if he will play this week, but if he does, that will make popular waiver-wire add Jaleel McLaughlin unstartable in an already tough matchup against the Jets.

Kyren Williams (hip) limited at practice Thursday

Kyren Williams (hip) was limited at Los Angeles’ practice on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

Williams tweaked hip during Week 4’s overtime win over the Colts, and it forced him to miss practice on Wednesday. He has now been upgraded to limited on Thursday, however, which is a step in the right direction for his recovery. HC Sean McVay has said that he expects him to play, so fantasy managers can feel confident starting him as a RB2/flex this week, even against a tough Eagles’ defense.

Aaron Rodgers (achilles) not ruling out a return this season

Aaron Rodgers (achilles) claims his recovery is going well and is going to try to return this season.

Fantasy Impact

Historically, a same-season return from a torn achilles is unheard of. Rodgers, however, believes it is possible and reportedly plans to try to make his return before the season is over. His rehab is also reportedly going well, with him on track to be back in normal shoes within a couple of weeks, well ahead of the usual timeline. It remains to be seen if he will actually make his return this season, but if he does, it won’t be until the very end of the regular season or the postseason.
