James Conner to be placed on IR

The Arizona Cardinals will place RB James Conner on the IR with a knee injury he sustained in Week 5. He will miss at least the next four games.

Fantasy Impact

Conner rushed for 364 yards and two touchdowns before the injury but will now be out until Week 10 at the earliest. Emari Demercado will presumably become Arizona’s RB1, though Keaontay Ingram and newly-acquired Tony Jones Jr. are in the mix. Demercado is the RB to roster in fantasy.

Deshaun Watson (shoulder) remains day-to-day

Browns QB Deshaun Watson remains day-to-day with a rotator cuff contusion.

Fantasy Impact

Watson was inactive in Week 4 and spent the Browns’ bye week resting and rehabbing. Watson did some light throwing Monday, but did not log a full practice. His status remains up in the air for Sunday’s game with San Francisco.

Zay Jones (knee) considered day-to-day

Zay Jones (knee) underwent tests following Sunday’s win and is considered day-to-day heading into Week 6, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Fantasy Impact

Jones has seen significant volume when healthy, averaging six targets per game this season. This past Sunday, he caught three passes for 23 yards and one touchdown before departing. Even as he operates behind Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk, Jones has managed to carve out a role in the Jaguars’ offense. He ranks as a low-end fantasy WR4 going forward.
