Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) not expected to play in Week 5

Rookie RB Jahmyr Gibbs, who popped up on the injury report late in the week with a hamstring injury, is not expected to suit up in Week 5 when the Lions take on Carolina.

Fantasy Impact

Gibbs has yet to reach his first-round potential in the first quarter of the season and is now sidelined with a hamstring injury for at least this week, making it harder to see a world where he lives up to his ADP. Conversely, despite missing a game due to injury, David Montgomery has flourished in his new role in Detroit. With Gibbs out in Week 5, it is an absolute smash spot for Montgomery, who draws a Carolina run defense, which ranks dead last in rush defense DVOA. RB Craig Reynolds will serve as the primary backup to Montgomery.

Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) not expected to play in Week 5

Lions’ star WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, who failed to log any practice time this week due to an abdomen injury, is not expected to suit up for the team’s Week 5 game in Carolina.

Fantasy Impact

With St. Brown being out of the lineup on Sunday, freshly reinstated WR Jameson Williams will have a chance to make more of an impact than initially expected. Additionally, Kalif Raymond and Josh Reynolds will see more work as well. ARSB only missed one game last year due to injury and bounced back nicely, so fantasy managers need not worry about his ability to bounce back, but for Week 5, they will need to adjust their starting lineup accordingly.

Rhamondre Stevenson (thigh) expected to play Sunday

Rhamondre Stevenson (thigh) is expected to play in Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

Fantasy Impact

Stevenson was added to the injury report this week because of a thigh injury and is officially listed as questionable, but he’s expected to be available and playing in Sunday’s game against the Saints. It remains to be seen if the injury will limit his production at all, and he isn’t a strong starting option this week against a tough defense and coming off of a couple of sub-par weeks.

Davante Adams (shoulder) questionable for Week 5

Davante Adams (shoulder) is officially questionable to play in Week 5 against the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy Impact

Adams suffered a shoulder injury during last week’s game that will leave him questionable to play in Week 5. He was able to return and finish the game last week, so it seems like there’s a good chance that he plays through it this week. If he’s ruled out before game time, that will mean a lot more work for Jakobi Meyers on Monday night.
