Fantasy Football Burning Questions

Do I Continue To Ride With Darrell Henderson?’

Darrell Henderson getting sent back to the practice squad doesn’t seem like a good sign, but it doesn’t mean it’s over. Per NFL rules, a player can be activated from the practice squad three times before being on the roster permanently. If you have him, hold onto him. If you’re trying to get him on the waiver wire, I wouldn’t drop a lot of FAAB.

Are We Back on the Emari Demercado Train?

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on my waiver wire options. Here are the snap shares for Emari Demercado over the last three weeks:

  • Week 5: 77%
  • Week 6: 43%
  • Week 7: 80%

This is what lineup decision nightmares are made out of. I cannot trust this backfield at the moment. I would try to go after Henderson before Demercado at this moment, or even some running backs that are seeing an uptick in production, like Jaylen Warren or Devin Singletary.

Should I Be Selling High on Jordan Addison for When Justin Jefferson Returns?

I wouldn’t. It looks like the Vikings offense is getting in sync, more like “No Strings Attached” – NSYNC, which will benefit every receiving option.

Jordan Addison now has seven touchdowns on the year, the same number as Jefferson had in his rookie season, which is the Vikings record. The Vikings remain the heaviest passing team in the league (68.76%), which will not change.

Is Trey McBride a Valuable Pickup?

I would marry off Trey McBride to your lineup. This is an opportunity for him to show that he’s the future of this franchise. His snap percentage went over 50%, with 11 targets in the last two weeks. He has incredible speed for someone of his size (6-4 245 pounds). He’s second in yards per route run amongst tight ends and eighth in average cushion. As the top tight end, he will flourish.

What About Dalton Kincaid?

This is another tight end you should be targeting this week. With Dawson Knox injured last week, Dalton Kincaid had the best performance of his career, catching eight of eight targets for 75 yards. He’s also speedy, a great route runner and doesn’t drop passes. I wouldn’t be surprised if he becomes Josh Allen‘s second-favorite receiving option.

Can Josh Downs Continue This Productivity?

Having 125 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Browns is an impressive stat line, but I wouldn’t count on that every week. Although, Josh Downs has benefitted from Gardner Minshew being the quarterback. Downs has a 21% target share with Minshew compared to 16% with Anthony Richardson. He should continue to get a high target share and is a great PPR WR2 option.

Who’s Been a Fantasy Star That You Feel Will Take a Dive in Production?

Evan Engram is coming into this week as the PPR TE6, with at least five catches in each game. If you have him in standard-scoring leagues, he’s been a bust for one reason:  He’s yet to touch the end zone and has just three red zone targets this year.

His strength of schedule for the remainder of the season ranks 31st. Seven of his 10 remaining games are against defenses in the top eight in points allowed to the tight end, including the top three.

He’s a sell-high for me this week as he faces the Steelers, who have allowed the second-fewest points to the position.
