2024 NFL Draft Prospects to Watch: Malachi Moore & Jamari Thrash

2024 NFL Draft Prospects to Watch: Malachi Moore & Jamari Thrash

We’re amid the College football season, which means NFL Draft prospects are playing meaningful games. Their performances in these games help determine where these prospects get selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.

As we head into Week 6 of the College Football season, here are two prospects to watch for your dynasty and devy leagues:

2024 NFL Draft Prospects

Jamari Thrash (WR, Louisville)

Don’t look now, but the Louisville Cardinals are 5-0 and are getting a primetime game against Notre Dame this week. Much of the Cardinals’ success is credited to wide receiver Jamari Thrash. So far this season, Thrash already has 22 receptions for 444 yards and five touchdowns. His 20.2 yards per reception is ranked top 50 in the country right now.

Before transferring to Louisville, Thrash was a standout receiver at Georgia State. Last season, he had 61 receptions for 1,122 yards and seven touchdowns. He was a three-star recruit (per 24/7 Sports) from Troup County High School. He only had offers to play at schools such as Georgia Southern, Arkansas State and Georgia State.

When you watch the 6-foot, 180-pound receiver on tape, you’ll notice that he can make contested catches while having the speed needed to threaten defenses vertically. Meanwhile, he runs hard for a player of his size. Most defensive backs that try to tackle him in the open field need to pack a punch, or Thrash will throw them off him. He’s an intriguing prospect who gets a chance to show what he can do against one of the best teams in the country in Week 6.

Malachi Moore (DB, Alabama)

One of the more versatile defenders in the 2024 NFL Draft could be Malachi Moore from Alabama. He’s a starting safety that can move down to the Star position as a nickel corner. Moore stands 6-foot, 198 pounds, and is already getting positive reviews from NFL scouts and teams.

Through five games, Moore is already up to 27 total tackles, four tackles for loss and an interception. He appears to have injured his ankle in the season opener against Middle Tennessee State, but he’s battled through it and has played every game this season for the Crimson Tide.

This weekend, the Crimson Tide will battle Texas A&M on the road. Moore could be busy, as the Aggies average 283 yards passing per game. He could have his hands full with playmakers Ainias Smith, Evan Stewart and Jake Johnson.
