Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for this week’s NFL action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NFL more/less picks.

Sleeper Picks NFL Week 4

Season record: 6-6

Tank Dell (WR – HOU): 44.5 receiving yards

Tank Dell was quiet in his debut but has looked more and more comfortable with each game. He managed just 34 receiving yards in the opener but doubled his production two games in a row by going for 72 receiving yards in Week 2 before exploding for 145 receiving yards in Week 3. C.J. Stroud’s handpicked receiver and the quarterback have become fast friends on and off the field, and it is showing up on Sundays. I understand why this number started so low, but don’t be surprised if it is quite a bit higher by the time you open your app to lock it in. Tank has seen 17 targets in the last two games, morphing into Stroud’s top option in the passing game. Robert Woods is still going to eat, and Nico Collins will get his shots, but it is clear that Stroud will feature Tank whenever possible. The Texans Week 4 opponent in the Steelers has relinquished a 90 yard receiving day to at least one receiver in every game this season. The 44.5 is probably as low as we will see a Tank number for the rest of the year. Take advantage while you can.

Pick: More

Amari Cooper (WR – CLE): 60.5 receiving yards

Amari Cooper is averaging 81 receiving yards per game this season, topping 90 in each of his last two. The 37 receiving yards in the opener was a disappointment, but he has followed that up with outings of 90 and 116 receiving yards. He has seen 25 targets in his last two games and is among the top five in the NFL in air yards. He has a solid matchup this week against a Baltimore Ravens secondary that has allowed at least one 70 yard receiving day each week this season. The number on Cooper is going to continue to climb as the season progresses, so get the comfortable lines while you can. Tap more on Cooper for Week 4.

Pick: More

Jordan Addison (WR – MIN): 38.5 receiving yards

I was going to fade Jordan Addison this week but was forced to reconsider due to the number dropping from 48.5 last week to just 38.5. Addison has recorded at least 52 receiving yards in each game this season and has seen a healthy 13 targets over the last two weeks. The eight targets he saw in Week 3 were his new season high, and it appears that Kirk Cousins is growing more and more comfortable with his rookie receiver. This week Addison faces off against a Carolina Panthers team that has allowed at least two 63 receiving yard performances in each of the last two games. The defense is going to have its hands full with superstar receiver Justin Jefferson, leaving Addison in single coverage on virtually every snap. Addison should enjoy relatively low numbers until he passes T.J. Hockenson in weekly targets, but we are unlikely to see anything as low as 38.5 for the rest of his career. Roll with the more on Addison for Week 4.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper, so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
