Tonight’s MLB DFS main slate has eight games, starting at 7:05 pm ET on DraftKings and FanDuel. Today’s picks are narrowed to three starting pitchers, two stacks, three studs and three values/punts.
Monday's Starting Pitcher Strategy
The top-ranked pitcher tonight isn't a necessary selection in cash games. Instead, his high ceiling, high salary and mixed-bag matchup are better suited to GPPs. Gamers are better off pivoting to the second-ranked pitcher to save salary in cash games. The third-ranked pitcher is an excellent SP2 in all game types at DK and a useful GPP choice at FD.
Cash Game Recommendations:
Bryan Woo (SEA) at OAK
Woo has compiled a rock-solid rookie season. According to FanGraphs, in 15 starts spanning 75.2 innings, he has a 4.16 ERA, 3.29 xERA, 4.20 xFIP, 1.15 WHIP, 7.0 BB%, 24.1 K% and 27.4 CSW%.
Woo can build on his numbers in a favorable matchup tonight. The Athletics are tied for 21st in wRC+ (89) and have a 25.1 K% versus righties in 2023. Oakland is 16th in wRC+ (97) and has a 26.5 K% in the previous 30 days. The A's are also 26th in wRC+ (89) and have a 25.6 K% at home this season. Finally, per Betting Pros, the Mariners are -170, and the game's total is 7.5 runs.
Mike Clevinger (CWS) at WSH
Clevinger had a 4.66 ERA in his previous five starts. However, he also had a 1.17 WHIP, 5.1 BB%, 25.4 K%, 30.6 CSW%, 106 Stuff+, 102 Location+ and 102 Pitching+. The pitch modeling, walk rate, strikeout rate and plate discipline data were stellar. As a result, Clevinger is a nifty pick in a plus matchup.
The Nationals are tied for 25th in wRC+ (88) and have a 19.3 K% versus righties in 2023. Washington is 30th in wRC+ (72) and has a 19.2 K% in the previous 30 days. Furthermore, they're 22nd in RC+ (95) with an 18.0 K% at home this year. Obviously, their strikeout rate is low. However, their wRC+ in each applicable split is also low. Finally, the White Sox are -120, which is good enough.
GPP Recommendation:
Freddy Peralta (MIL) at STL
Peralta is in a groove. In his previous five starts spanning 28.2 innings, he's had a 2.51 ERA, 2.22 xFIP, 0.70 WHIP, 31.5 CSW%, 93 Stuff+, 106 Location+ and 107 Pitching+. Those marks were sterling. Unfortunately, Peralta hasn't pitched as well on the road as at home this year.
The matchup is also challenging. Nevertheless, the Cardinals are 26th in wRC+ (86) and have a 22.3 K% in the previous 30 days. The betting info is also promising for Peralta's outlook tonight. The Brewers are -175, and the game's total is 9.0 runs.
Top Lineup Stacks
Most of Milwaukee's applicable splits for tonight are lousy. Still, they're tied for 10th in wRC+ (110) in the previous 30 days and have a cupcake matchup. In 20 starts spanning 94.0 innings this season, Adam Wainwright has a 7.95 ERA, 7.75 xERA and 5.85 xFIP. He's allowed 1.91 HR/9 and been tattooed by all hitters, ceding a .402 wOBA to righties and a .447 wOBA to lefties in 2023.

There's a lot to like about stacking Seattle tonight, starting with their splits that apply for tonight's matchup. The Mariners are 11th in wRC+ (108) versus lefties in 2023. They're third in wRC+ (126) in the previous 30 days. Seattle is also tied for sixth in wRC+ (107) on the road this season.
Moreover, JP Sears is stumbling into tonight. He's had a 5.33 ERA and 5.42 xFIP in his previous five starts. Oakland's lousy bullpen is a cherry on top. The A's have the third-highest bullpen ERA this year.
- In 474 plate appearances against lefties since 2021, Jose Altuve has had a .372 OBP, .226 ISO and 150 wRC+.
- Teoscar Hernandez has had a .358 OBP, .327 ISO and 173 wRC+ in 366 plate appearances since 2021.
- Julio Rodriguez is white-hot. In his previous 108 plate appearances, he's clubbed 10 homers with six stolen bases, a .426 OBP, .373 ISO and 225 wRC+.
- Carlos Santana is in the heart of Milwaukee's lineup against washed-up Waino. He's also in good form. In his previous 103 plate appearances, he has five homers, a .398 OBP, .216 ISO and 148 wRC+.
- Ceddanne Rafaela has seamlessly transitioned from the upper minors to the majors. In his first 52 plate appearances for the Red Sox, he has two homers, one stolen base, a .346 OBP, .220 ISO and 135 wRC+. He also hit leadoff the last time the Red Sox faced a southpaw.
- Recently recalled Bobby Dalbec is a fun punt if he's in Boston's lineup. In 306 plate appearances against lefties since reaching The Show in 2020, Dalbec has 19 homers, a .336 OBP, .248 ISO and 127 wRC+.
Monday's Hitter Strategy
The Mariners are the most exciting stack across all game types. However, Milwaukee's ceiling is fun to chase against a cooked veteran starting pitcher. Finally, Boston has a pair of useful punts.
