Fantasy Football Roundup: Deshaun Watson, Davante Adams, Justin Fields, Joshua Dobbs

Fantasy managers and analysts rely on social media for breaking news and reports from NFL insiders about the statuses of players. We also look to social media for highlights, breakdowns, stats and pretty much everything else related to sports. Here is how social media reacted to some of the biggest plays and performances from Week 3.

The Internet Reacts to NFL Week 3 (Fantasy Football)

If you’re looking for the best early reactions to NFL and fantasy football action, you should start with social media. Twitter (X?) has traditionally been the best platform for reactions, but we’ll keep our eyes on all of the major platforms for the best takeaways and highlights (even Threads). Here’s what we saw in Week 3.

Deshaun Watson bounces back but also does this…

Deshaun Watson had gotten off to a rough start to the season, completing 38 of his 69 pass attempts for 289 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions to go along with 67 yards rushing and another touchdown. On Sunday, he bounced back, completing 27 of 33 pass attempts for 289 yards and two touchdowns. But he also had this moment which instantly went viral:

Raiders lose, but Davante Adams catches 13 passes for 172 yards, 2 TDs

Different QBs, same old Davante Adams. The Raiders lost to the Steelers on Sunday Night Football, but Adams was certainly not to blame. He caught 13 of his 20 targets for 172 yards and two scores.

Justin Fields, Bears continue to struggle

The Bears had a week and a half. Justin Fields called out his coaches, then scrambled to take those comments back once they went viral (people don’t forget). Then there was the weird rumor that the FBI raided their facility, followed by their defensive coordinator abruptly resigning. Things were already looking ugly in Chicago, and the Bears went out and got stomped 41-10 (it could have easily been much worse) by the Chiefs.

Joshua Dobbs and the Cardinals stun the Cowboys

The Cowboys beat up on Daniel Jones and the Giants in Week 1 and Zach Wilson and the Jets in Week 2, and many experts were calling them the best team in the NFL because of their elite defense. This week, they lost star CB Trevon Diggs to a torn ACL suffered in practice and then went out and lost 28-16 to the Cardinals in Arizona.
