D’Andre Swift: Eagles list all four RBs as starters on final depth chart

The Eagles have listed all four RBs as starters on their final depth chart.

Fantasy Impact

What the Eagles are planning on doing at the RB position has been a big question mark all offseason, and it looks like we aren’t going to get much clarity before the season begins. The team is listing all four RBs on the active roster as starters, which probably means we’ll see a committee approach as opposed to someone having a bellcow role. For fantasy purposes, this makes all of these guys, most notably D’Andre Swift and Rashaad Penny, risky options to start until we figure out how this backfield will shake out.

Evan Hull: Colts’ backfield expected to operate by committee, per HC

With Jonathan Taylor (ankle) on the PUP list, the Indianapolis Colts are expected to use a running back committee early in the season.

Fantasy Impact

“I think it’s running back-by-committee,” head coach Shane Steichen said. “Whoever’s got the hot hand, let ’em ride a little bit.” Given Steichen’s comments, we’ll likely see a mix of Evan Hull and Deon Jackson in Week 1, as well as a sizable role for Zack Moss (arm) if he’s healthy enough to play. Richardson’s elite ability to run with the ball adds an additional element to the rushing attack and could take goal-line work away from Moss.
