Jaxon Smith-Njigba to have no limitations Week 1

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who recently underwent wrist surgery, has been cleared for Week 1 and will play with no limitation, according to Seahawks’ coach Pete Carroll.

Fantasy Impact

JSN is a dynamic rookie out of Ohio St., but a wrist injury threatened to limit him from being his professional career. However, it seems that JSN will be ready to go on Sunday when the Seahawks take on the Rams in their opener. Smith-Njigba will have to compete with D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, but in college, JSN outperformed both Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave in 2021. It may take some time for the Seahawks’ first-rounder to acclimate, but he should get stronger as the season progresses.

Rhamondre Stevenson (illness) questionable; expected to play Sunday

Rhamondre Stevenson (illness) is officially questionable for Sunday afternoon’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Impact

Stevenson’s absence from practice on Friday was somewhat surprising, but we now know that it was because of a new illness that he’s dealing with. He’s considered questionable for Sunday’s game, but it’s being reported that he’s expected to be available to play. Ezekiel Elliott would be in line for most of the work in this backfield if the young stud RB is limited in the team’s season opener on Sunday.

Terry McLaurin off the injury report, set to play Week 1

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Pro Bowl WR Terry McLaurin is off the Washington Commanders’ injury report and is set to play Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Impact

McLaurin missed much of the preseason due to an injury to his toe, and his Week 1 status was hung in the air. After logging a full practice on Thursday, McLaurin is on the right track and will play Sunday. It’s unclear if the injury will hamper him any in Week 1, but the Commanders have a favorable matchup against a weak Cardinals defense. He has an ECR of half-PPR WR37, making him an upside FLEX play.
