Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) listed as non-participant Monday

Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) was listed as a non-participant on San Francisco’s estimated injury report on Monday.

Fantasy Impact

The 49ers didn’t practice on Monday, but they released a participation estimate that had Aiyuk listed as a non-participant because of a shoulder injury that he suffered in Week 2. That’s not a good sign for the young receiver, especially since the team has a short turnaround and will be playing the Giants on Thursday night. He’s trending towards not playing, and if that ends up being the case, Deebo Samuel and Jauan Jennings will both be in line for more work in his absence.

Zay Jones (knee) considered day-to-day

Zay Jones has a knee injury and is considered day-to-day for the time being.

Fantasy Impact

Jones sustained a knee injury during Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs. He’s undergoing further testing to determine the severity of it, and he’s considered day-to-day for right now. Christian Kirk will be in line for more work if Jones has to miss any time because of this injury.

Saquon Barkley (ankle) expected to miss three weeks

Saquon Barkley (ankle) is expected to miss three weeks because of an ankle sprain.

Fantasy Impact

Barkley suffered an ankle injury late in Sunday’s comeback win over the Cardinals that will force him to be sidelined for around three weeks. There was some initial concern that it was a high-ankle sprain, but MRI results showed that it was an ‘ordinary’ sprain and he will miss a few weeks. This is obviously less than ideal for fantasy managers, but it could’ve been much worse. Matt Breida will likely serve as the lead back for the Giants during Barkley’s extended absence.
