De’Von Achane to return to practice before Week 1

Miami Dolphins RB De’Von Achane will return to practice before Week 1, per head coach Mike McDaniel.

Fantasy Impact

McDaniel stated that Achane will be able to get prep work in, so it remains to be seen at what intensity he will be able to participate. Achane is dealing with a shoulder injury that he suffered during the preseason. Fantasy managers will want to monitor practice reports ahead of the Dolphins’ Week 1 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Cooper Kupp (hamstring) suffered setback, day-to-day

Cooper Kupp (hamstring) suffered a setback in his recovery and is now considered day-to-day.

Fantasy Impact

Kupp recently made his return to practice after a prolonged recovery from a hamstring injury, but he has now suffered a setback of some kind. HC Sean McVay says he is considered day-to-day for right now, and it remains to be seen when he will be back on the field. This is slightly concerning for the veteran’s fantasy outlook. We’ve seen veteran receivers struggle with reaggravating hamstring injuries, and if that’s the case for Kupp this season, he likely won’t be able to live up to his current ADP as the seventh overall player off the board.

Joe Burrow (calf) going through individual drills Thursday

Joe Burrow (calf) is going through individual drills at Cincinnati’s practice on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

Burrow made his return to practice on Wednesday, and he’s back again on Thursday taking part in individual drills. How his rehab is progressing is currently unknown, but him being back on the field is an encouraging sign that it’s going well. His status for Week 1 hasn’t yet been determined, but he seems to be trending towards playing for the time being.
