Bryce Young (ankle) without an injury update

Bryce Young (ankle) is still without an injury update about when he will be able to return to practice.

Fantasy Impact

Young was ruled out for Week 3 because of an ankle injury, and the team still doesn’t have an update on his injury or when he will return to practice. He’s week-to-week for the time being, but he will need to return to practice at some point this week if he wants to have a chance to play against the Vikings in Week 4. Veteran Andy Dalton did well replacing him on Sunday and may actually be the better guy for sustaining fantasy-relevant weapons on this offense, so fantasy managers should continue to monitor the rookie’s injury status leading up to this week’s game.

Anthony Richardson still in concussion protocol, remains QB1 when healthy

Anthony Richardson is still in the league’s concussion protocols and will remain the QB1 for the Colts when he returns.

Fantasy Impact

Richardson was out in Week 3 while dealing with a concussion. Backup Gardner Minshew played well in his absence and led the team to an upset win over the Ravens, but the rookie will reassume his starting role when he passes through the concussion protocols. He’s been good when on the field and his rushing upside makes him a super intriguing option week-to-week.

Christian Watson (hamstring) doesn’t practice Monday

Christian Watson (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant on Green Bay’s practice estimation on Monday.

Fantasy Impact

The Packers didn’t actually practice on Monday, but they released a participation estimation that had Watson listed as a non-participant. He hasn’t seen the field yet this year because of a lingering hamstring injury, and it appears that his status is not looking good for Thursday night. We’ll know more in the next couple of days, but for now, fantasy managers should be prepared for him to miss another week and can expect Romeo Doubs and rookie Jayden Reed to both continue to get more work if he’s out yet again.

David Montgomery (thigh) limited at practice Monday

David Montgomery (thigh) was listed as limited for Detroit’s practice on Monday.

Fantasy Impact

Montgomery was listed as a limited participant for the Lions on their first practice report of the week. They have a short turnaround, playing against the Packers in just a few short days on Thursday night football. We’ll see where he’s at in the next couple of days, but if he’s out again, fantasy managers can look for Jahmyr Gibbs and Craig Reynolds to continue to get most of the work in this backfield.
