Christian Watson (hamstring) unlikely to suit up in Week 2

Packers’ second-year WR, Christian Watson, who was listed as questionable to make his season debut in Week 2, is not expected to play as he recovers from a hamstring injury, per Adam Schefter.

Fantasy Impact

Watson seemed to have a shot to play after logging some practice late in the week, but the team seems to be opting to play it safe with their second-year wideout. Watson broke out in the second half of 2022 as a rookie, and fantasy managers will have to wait at least another week to see if he can continue his solid play with Jordan Love under center. Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed can be expected to pick up the slack in Watson’s absence, with rookie TE Luke Musgrave likely to see an elevated workload, too.

Aaron Jones (hamstring) ‘not expected’ to play in Week 2

Aaron Jones, who suffered a hamstring injury in the Packers’ Week 1 rout of Chicago, is expected to miss the team’s Week 2 game in Atlanta.

Fantasy Impact

Jones pulled up lame on his second TD of Week 1 and could not log any practice this week, indicating he was unlikely to suit up in Week 2. With Jones ruled out against Atlanta, A.J. Dillon will be the lead pack, with Patrick Taylor getting some backup work, too.
