Anthony Richardson (knee/ankle) avoids serious injury Sunday

Anthony Richardson was held out of the final drive for precautionary injuries after suffering a minor injury, but HC Shane Steichen revealed Monday that the injury is not severe.

Fantasy Impact

Richardson had a very nice debut, totaling over 260 total yards and a passing and rushing touchdown, but his aggressive rushing style lends itself to taking big hits. While it seems the rookie QB avoided significant injury, it is something to monitor in the practice reports later in the week. If healthy, Richardson is a solid starting option against an inexperienced Texans defense in Week 2.

Jakobi Meyers placed in concussion protocol

The Raiders placed Jakobi Meyers in concussion protocol.

Fantasy Impact

Meyers was helped off the field late in Sunday’s game after taking a hard helmet-to-helmet hit. He posted a strong performance with nine receptions and two touchdowns before leaving the game early. He’ll have to clear concussion protocol to be able to take the field next Sunday against the Bills.

Evan Hull ‘could miss some time’ with knee injury

Colts’ rookie RB Evan Hull, who suffered a knee injury during the team’s Week 1 defeat vs. Jacksonville, might miss time, according to HC Shane Steichen.

Fantasy Impact

With Hull slated to miss some time and Jonathan Taylor still on the PUP list, Deon Jackson will be slated to be the bonafide starting RB. However, Zack Moss could return as soon as Week 2 against Houston. With QB Anthony Richardson being a significant factor in the running game, it is hard to see any Colts RB being too effective in fantasy football.
