Zay Jones (knee) doesn’t practice Wednesday

Zay Jones (knee) doesn’t practice for the Jaguars on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

A knee injury will leave Jones sidelined at practice on Wednesday. It isn’t too serious of an issue, however, and the team is taking his recovery day-to-day for the time being. His status for Week 3 is uncertain right now, and if he’s out against the Texans, fantasy managers can expect Christian Kirk and Jamal Agnew to get more work in his absence.

Anthony Richardson in concussion protocol, doesnt’ practicing Wednesday

Anthony Richardson is in the league’s concussion protocol and didn’t practice on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Richardson had to leave Sunday’s game after he hit his head on the turf, and now, he’s going through the NFL’s concussion protocols. He won’t be able to practice on Wednesday and could possibly have his status for Week 3 threatened because of it. Fantasy managers should keep close tabs on this situation to see if the electric rookie will be available to play against the Ravens in Week 3. Veteran Gardner Minshew is the next man up for the Colts if Richardson is out.

Jamaal Williams (hamstring) a non-participant at practice Wednesday

Jamaal Williams (hamstring) was a non-participant in the Saints’ practice on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Williams is dealing with a hamstring injury that he suffered during Monday’s win over the Panthers. HC Frank Reich said that it may take ‘some time’ for him to return, so his absence at practice doesn’t come as much of a surprise. It’s looking like he won’t play in Week 3, and if that’s the case, rookie Kendre Miller will be in line for a big workload with Williams and Alvin Kamara (suspension) both unavailable against the Packers.

DK Metcalf (ribs) expected to play Sunday

DK Metcalf (ribs) is expected to play in Sunday’s contest against the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy Impact

Seattle is trying to manage the injury that Metcalf sustained to his ribs following a big hit he took in Week 2, and HC Pete Carroll indicated that he may miss some practice this week but will be ready to go for Sunday’s game. We’ll get official word on this sometime later in the week, but he should be available and playing without limitations in Week 3, which makes him a solid starting option against a bad Carolina secondary.
