Aaron Jones finds the end zone twice in Week 1 win

Packers RB Aaron Jones tallied 41 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown on nine carries in a Week 1 win over Chicago. Jones added 86 receiving yards and a touchdown on two receptions.

Fantasy Impact

Jones led the team in receiving yards Sunday, and got the majority of it on a 51-yard pass. Jones did leave the game with a hamstring injury, so that will be something to monitor ahead of a Week 2 matchup with Atlanta.

Mark Andrews officially inactive for Week 1

Mark Andrews (quad) is officially inactive for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Impact

Andrews is dealing with a quad injury that will leave him sidelined on Sunday. His absence comes as somewhat of a surprise, but the team is likely trying to preserve his health by not playing him in what should be an easy game against the Texans. Isaiah Likely is the clear fantasy beneficiary of this and is worth picking up if you need somebody to replace the star tight end in your lineup.

Anthony Richardson impresses in debut

Anthony Richardson completed 24 of 37 passes for 223 yards, a touchdown and an interception in the Colts 31-21 loss to the Jaguars. He also carried the ball ten times for 40 yards and another score on the ground. Richardson also left late in the game with an apparent knee injury.

Fantasy Impact

It was a good day overall for Richardson and his fantasy managers, who should be pleasantly surprised by the rookie’s accuracy after his preseason struggles. His athletic ability is evident, and the sky is the ceiling for the young QB. Fantasy managers should obviously keep an eye on the rookie’s status in the coming days.
