Dynasty Fantasy Football Trade Advice: Cam Akers, Kendre Miller, Tank Dell, Kadarius Toney

Dynasty fantasy football is a long game that can often be won at the margins. One of the biggest margins is your waivers, but the other is buying low on players who are about to take off.

This list is a combination of the two. Some players might be on your waivers. Some might be on another team’s bench. All of these are players I want on my own roster as we head into Week 3.

Week 3 Dynasty Fantasy Football Trade Advice

Cam Akers (RB – LAR)

For now, Akers is on the Rams. That could change at literally any moment though as the team has made it very clear that they are looking to move him. Akers isn’t washed though, and I think he could find a new home looking to lean on him and his talents.

With all of the RB injuries we’ve seen already, someone out there will be willing to take the risk, and I want Akers on my bench if and when that change happens. I’m not actively acquiring him, but if you see him dropped to waivers or if you can get him for cheap in a trade I’m fine doing so.

Kendre Miller (RB – NO)

Miller is another player in that RB3-4 range that I’m trying to add while his value is depressed. Miller is definitely rostered in most dynasty leagues, but whoever rosters him might be getting sick of doing so. Miller was a rookie pick that has yet to take the field, and as teams start to evaluate their rosters they could be swayed into sending him away for a veteran who’s producing now.

The Saints are anxiously awaiting the return of Alvin Kamara, but with the latest injury to Jamaal Williams that will force him to miss time, and the emergence of Tony Jones, they will need some help. Miller could be that guy down the stretch.

Tank Dell (WR – HOU)

Dell is probably a bad choice for a stash candidate, but with all of the attention on Nico Collins, I feel like people might be missing him. Dell was a player I liked in dynasty rookie drafts this summer so I’m not shocked to see him do what he’s doing. That being said, I’m keeping an eye on him to see if he stumbles at all in that unpredictable Texans offense.

As soon as Dell puts up a dud of a game for fantasy I’ll be waiting to pounce. I don’t mind overpaying even if I have to. He can’t get 5 catches for 50 yards every game even though that’s what he’s averaging so far.

Kadarius Toney (WR – KC)

Toney looked in Week 1 but he looked much better in Week 2, even though the Chiefs as a whole looked worse. He caught all five of his targets for 35 yards in a surprisingly close game. After his Week 1 dud, it’s entirely possible that his current manager is done with him and you might be able to snag him for dirt cheap.

I’m not at all excited to start Toney yet, but the way that that offense works it could be a Toney week at any moment. I’m fine stashing and holding on to see how the next few weeks go before cutting bait entirely if he fails again.
