5 Players Losing Fantasy Football Draft Value (2023)

The 2023 NFL regular season is less than a week away. That means there will be thousands of last-minute fantasy football drafts between now and opening night.

However, there is new information every day, sometimes by the minute. Not only does that information impact the NFL teams, but it also affects the fantasy football ADP and draft decisions.

Let’s look at which players’ ADP is rising and which are falling as we head into the final week of the offseason.

Fantasy Football ADP Fallers

ADP Fallers

Jonathan Taylor (RB – IND)

Short of Taylor deciding to walk away to play baseball, the past two weeks couldn’t have gone worse for fantasy players. Instead of getting traded, the superstar running back is still on the Colts. Unfortunately, he’s not playing for at least the first four weeks after Indianapolis left Taylor on the Physically Unable to Perform list. Furthermore, the superstar could sit out most or all of the season because of the contract dispute. Taylor is the riskiest pick in fantasy football this year and someone I’m taking off my board.

Devin Singletary (RB – HOU)

Many believed Singletary would form a 1-2 punch with Dameon Pierce in Houston. However, the second-year running back has been the clear-cut No. 1 guy. Meanwhile, the veteran has played mainly with the second-team offense during the preseason. Furthermore, Singletary averaged only three yards per rushing attempt during the preseason, the second-lowest on the team. He also had only one forced missed tackle on 14 rushing attempts. Unfortunately, the veteran running back’s fantasy value has slipped into the handcuff tier.

Zamir White (RB – LV)

Last year, White barely saw the field behind Josh Jacobs. However, many called the second-year running back a potential sleeper candidate with Jacobs’ contract situation. Unfortunately, the veteran signed the franchise tag and reported to training camp, crushing White’s chances at a starting role. Meanwhile, the second-year running back averaged only 3.3 yards per rushing attempt in the preseason despite leading the team in rushing attempts (86). Even if Jacobs misses time with an injury, White lacks the upside to be considered a top-tier handcuff.

Jerry Jeudy (WR – DEN)

Jeudy was a popular breakout candidate this season after having a career year in 2022. Unfortunately, injuries once again have sabotaged the young wide receiver’s fantasy value. Jeudy recently suffered a hamstring injury during practice. While he won’t go on short-term injured reserve, the receiver’s injury history has to scare fantasy players. Hopefully, the hamstring injury isn’t too severe. However, Jeudy’s ADP is slipping, and he is no longer worthy of a top 72 draft pick.

Jameson Williams (WR – DET)

It’s been a rough start to his career for Williams. The former Alabama star had one reception as a rookie, coming off a torn ACL in college. Then, he received a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s gambling policy. Unfortunately, Williams suffered a hamstring injury, limiting him to one preseason game. The injury should heal by the time his suspension is over. However, Williams probably can’t rehab with the team’s help because of his suspension. He is off my draft board.
