The veterans clinging to their football lives playing deep into games. The rookies getting their first taste of real action. It’s all so beautiful. And when it comes to preseason DFS, all of that stuff matters. As DBro says, “preseason DFS is gawd’s game.”
Preseason DFS may be for the true degens, but it’s also for those trying to cash in on soft lines from DFS sites. Vikings vs. Seahawks NFL Preseason DFS Picks
Minnesota Vikings Targets
Jaren Hall (QB – MIN)
Kirk Cousins shouldn’t play in this game and Nick Mullens is a veteran, which leaves more than enough time on the field for rookie Jaren Hall. On PFF, Jaren Hall has a 94.7 Deep Passing Grade and a 91.4 No Pressure Grade. If the offensive line can keep his jersey clean, he can light up the scoreboard.
DeWayne McBride (RB – MIN)
With Ty Chandler inconsistent in camp and the running back room dealing with injuries in Alexander Mattison and Kene Nwangwu, Mcbride should EAT in week one of the preseason. It may be a more popular play, but this is no time to be contrarian. Get your volume points from this rookie running back. He posted a 94.1 PFF grade in 2022 by showcasing his fantastic footwork. You won’t see passing reps from him usually, but this is preseason, where they want the rookies to work on their game. Don’t be surprised to have some plays called up for him in that realm.
Seattle Seahawks Targets
Kenny McIntosh & Wayne Taulapapa (RB – SEA)
Neither have a blazing 40-yard dash, but that’s ok. Both running backs fit our size model, and with Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet injured, both players should see some time in this game. McIntosh has been wowing his coaches at practice and is now dealing with an injury. Keep an eye on his status. Another running back to keep an eye on is the veteran DeeJay Dallas.
Jake Bobo (WR – SEA)
Bobo stands at 6’4 and 206 lbs fitting perfectly into my model at the position. He was a player who would catch our eyes during draft prep as he could play out wide and in the slot. He finished last year with an 82.1 PFF grade and 14.3 yards per reception (YPR). He also had stellar scores with his receiving grade (82.9), contested catch rate (59.1% and his grade vs. man coverage (79.3). Bobo won’t speed past his defenders, but we are focused on his red zone abilities at that size.
