Yordan Alvarez: 1.5 Total Bases – Higher
Alvarez smashes righties on the road this year. According to FanGraphs, in 123 plate appearances against righties on the road in 2023, Alvarez has three doubles, 11 homers, a .278 batting average, .649 slugging and .371 ISO. Conversely, Brayan Bello has allowed 15 doubles, one triple, 10 homers, a .290 batting average and .487 slugging to 260 lefties this season.
Kyle Tucker: 1.5 Total Bases – Higher
Tucker can also take advantage of Bello’s struggles against left-handed batters. Furthermore, like Alvarez, Tucker crushes the ball on the road against righties. In 197 plate appearances against righties on the road this year, Tucker has 10 doubles, 12 homers, a .329 batting average, .610 slugging and .280 ISO. Furthermore, Alvarez and Tucker can benefit from the hitter-friendly park factors for lefties at Fenway Park.
Marcell Ozuna: 2.0 Total Bases – Higher
Ozuna is white-hot. In the slugging outfielder’s previous 124 plate appearances, he’s had 11 doubles, 11 homers, a .373 batting average, .773 slugging and .400 ISO. Ozuna also has 12 doubles, 19 homers, a .259 batting average, .479 slugging and .220 ISO in 350 plate appearances against righties this year.
Ozuna can feast in a good matchup at hitter-friendly Coors Field. Peter Lambert has coughed up two doubles, four triples, seven homers, a .289 batting average and .697 slugging to 83 righties at home this year. Finally, Coors Field has right-handed-batter park factors of 1.169 for singles, 1.395 for doubles, 1.535 for triples and 1.301 for homers.
George Kirby: 37.5 Fantasy Points – Higher
Kirby is in a groove entering tonight. In his last five starts spanning 32.2 innings, he’s had a 2.48 ERA, 3.28 xFIP, 3.43 SIERA, 0.86 WHIP, 1.6 BB%, 24.4 K%, 25.6 CSW%, 102 Stuff+, 108 Location+ and 107 Pitching+. Kirby can cruise in a cushy matchup tonight.
The Athletics are 26th in wRC+ (87) and have a 25.1 K% versus righties in 2023. Oakland is tied for 22nd in wRC+ (89) and has a 23.8 K% on the road this year. They are also tied for 22nd in wRC+ (88) and have a 24.7 K% in the previous 30 days.
Teoscar Hernandez: 1.5 Total Bases – Higher
Hernandez is a lefty killer. In 352 plate appearances against lefties since 2021, he’s had 31 doubles, 26 homers, a .326 batting average, .656 slugging and .329 ISO. Meanwhile, the 218 righties who’ve faced Ken Waldichuk on the road this year have 13 doubles, 10 homers, a .301 batting average and .532 slugging.
