Saints vs. Chargers NFL Preseason DFS Picks
New Orleans Saints Targets
Jamaal Williams (RB – NO)
While Alvin Kamara sits out with a three-game suspension, the RB1 spot is up for grabs, and the backup after. The competition is between former Lions running back Jamaal Williams and rookie Kendre Miller. It was all Willams on the first game, who led the backfield with 28 yards. Dennis Allen could be priming him up for that lead-back role and should see another heavy workload.
A.T. Perry (WR – NO)
Chris Olave is locked in as the top wideout, and Michael Thomas will be the slot receiver, but someone needs to fill the Y-slot. Rookie A.T. Perry made a case last week with six catches for 70 yards and a nice athletic catch for a touchdown. He was part of one of the best passing offenses in the college football the previous two seasons at Wake Forest, catching for over 1,000 yards in each.
Los Angeles Chargers Targets
Easton Stick (QB – LAC)
In the Chargers’ first preseason game, Stick completed 14 of his 21 pass attempts for 109 yards and a touchdown. Rookie QB Max Duggan only attempted three passes despite playing the entire second half. After a few days of joint practices against the Saints, it’s unlikely we see Justin Herbert on Sunday. If we do, it should only be for a series or two. That means Stick should once again have plenty of run with Los Angeles’ deep pool of offensive playmakers.
