Season Long is almost here
Rival Fantasy continues to provide some of the best fantasy offerings in the industry, and things will only get better when they launch season-long redraft leagues later this month. There will be PPR and standard formats giving us much-welcomed choice. Can’t wait to get started? Users can head to Rival Fantasy’s lobby now to mock draft and get a feel of the draft room’s interface. But let’s not forget Challenges, Fantasy Bingo, and the FantasyBook.
Challenges
Social challenges are arguably the most entertaining way to battle your friends (or rivals) in the DFS arena. We have all debated ‘Player X’ vs. ‘Player Y’ before, and now, with the help of Rival Fantasy, we can put those discussions to the test via the social challenge tab. Does your friend think Elly De La Cruz is the next coming? Will they never stop telling you Ja’Marr Chase is better than Justin Jefferson? Social challenges act as a helpful intermediary for those looking to have some side action.
As illustrated in the photo above, simply click the challenge tab, set up your challenge (players and the amount), and invite a rival to accept. The user who picks the player who scores more fantasy points wins! It is a straightforward format to understand but provides months of entertainment during a long but fun MLB season.
FantasyBook
FantasyBook is exactly like it sounds. A convenient medium to make predictions on whether or not specific players will score more than ‘X’ amount of fantasy points. It is about to get a lot more exciting with the NFL regular season almost here, especially considering we will be able to combine sports until the end of the Fall Classic.
Fantasybook offers over/under selections for a combination of two to five fantasy point props. Two correct selections offers a 2.5x multiplier, three correct selections offers a 5x multiplier, four correct selections offers a 7.5x multiplier, and finally, five correct selections offers a 10x multiplier.
Fantasy Bingo
Fantasy Bingo 2.0 continues to go on strong. Sticking to one position per position group still seems like the ideal scenario, as it gives you a larger player pool to achieve the desired bingo achievements. The fact that there is no salary cap allows us to choose any player(s) we desire. This will also allow us to mix and match the type of players we will roster for that day.
Rival Fantasy recently revamped its fantasy bingo game, giving users the ability to build their own lineup instead of receiving a predetermined lineup. This allows for greater control and hopefully increased winnings for fantasy gamers. You will choose a lineup of three pitchers, two infielders, two outfielders, and two flex. When you win, you (and any others) split the pot. If the pot for that day is $1000, and 10 users get four in a corner, each user will split that $100 total win for $10 each. If the pot is $1000 and 10 users get five in a row, they split the $150 given for five in a row, $15 each. Conversely, if only two users get five in a row, they will split it $75 each.
Lineup
My lineup for today consists of Aaron Nola, Alek Manoah, Kenta Maeda, Bobby Witt Jr., Trea Turner, Ronald Acuna Jr., Kyle Tucker, Wander Franco, and Lars Nootbaar. All three of my outfielders are right fieilders, giving me three players per position to attempt to get my bingo achievements. Some of the most notable achievements are 40 total strikes, caught stealing, more than five innings pitched, one hit, one home run, one triple, and ground into a double play.
