Josh Jacobs: McDaniels says he doesn’t have ‘any new news’
According to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN NFL Nation, Las Vegas Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels said he “[doesn’t] have any new news” about RB Josh Jacobs.
Fantasy Impact
Jacobs has still not yet signed his franchise tag as he continues to hold out. The deadline has passed for Jacobs to sign a long-term deal with the Raiders, so Jacobs’ only options are to sign a one-year deal with stronger guarantees or incentives – similar to RB Saquon Barkley – or sign his tag. Until he signs a deal with the Raiders, he is not required to be at practice, and the biggest fear for the Raiders and fantasy managers alike is that Jacobs is prepared to keep his stand for the long run. He is currently a risky bet as the half-PPR RB9.

Jonathan Taylor to travel with the Colts to Philadelphia
Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor will travel with the team ahead of their preseason game with the Eagles.
Fantasy Impact
Taylor remains on the PUP list and will need to be activated before he can begin to practice with the team. Taylor will be returning for a personal leave of absence that was approved by the team. Fantasy managers will want to monitor practice reports should the team release any information about Taylor’ rehab process on his ankle.

Brandin Cooks “favorite” to finish second on Cowboys in receptions
Brandin Cooks is likely to receive the second-highest number of targets on the Cowboys in 2023 behind CeeDee Lamb, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.
Fantasy Impact
Cooks came over to Dallas in an offseason trade from the Texans, and the journeyman wideout has high expectations in 2023. With the departure of Dalton Schultz, who joined Houston this offseason, Cooks is considered the favorite to be Dak Prescott‘s second-best target. The 29-year-old wideout had a relatively unproductive season in 2022 and will look to bounce back as a member of the Cowboys.
