Kyler Murray to start season on reserve/PUP list

The Cardinals will keep QB Kyler Murray on the reserve/PUP list to begin the 2023 season.

Fantasy Impact

The move does not come as a surprise considering Murray is continuing to recover from torn ACL suffered last December. The 26-year-old will be required to sit out at least the first four games. With Murray’s playmaking ability dependent on his legs, fantasy managers should expect the Cardinals to continue to be cautious with him and his recovery.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba to begin season on active roster

Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba will begin the season on the active roster and be questionable for Week 1.

Fantasy Impact

Smith-Njibga recently underwent surgery on a small broken bone in his wrist. The good news for fantasy managers is that even if he misses Week 1, he has avoided the IR/designated to return label. Fantasy managers will want to continue to monitor his status as we head towards Week 1.
