George Kittle to return to practice in coming week

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, TE George Kittle is expected to return to practice this week from his adductor sprain.

Fantasy Impact

Kittle has missed the last week and a half with his groin injury, being held out of practice last week. His return is good timing, though, as he needs time to ramp up for the regular season and work with QB Brock Purdy who recently was fully cleared for practices. Kittle had 765 yards and 11 touchdowns in 15 games in 2022. In 2023, he is going on average as the half-PPR TE4, a mark he has cleared in four of the last five seasons — having only played eight games in 2020.

De’Von Achane (shoulder) to undergo imaging Sunday

Miami Dolphins RB De’Von Achane is set to undergo imaging on his injured shoulder Sunday.

Fantasy Impact

Achane was carted off the field in Saturday’s preseason game against Houston. The team should release more information on the severity of the injury once they get the results of his tests Sunday. Achane currently ranks as the RB41 in ECR, but this injury could impact his draft stock moving forward.

Chuba Hubbard injures ankle in preseason game vs NYG

Chuba Hubbard suffered an ankle injury during the Panthers’ preseason loss to the Giants, according to Mike Kaye on Twitter.

Fantasy Impact

Hubbard was starting for the Panthers, with lead-back Miles Sanders missing the game with a groin injury. Hubbard managed 30 yards on eight carries but suffered an ankle injury in the process. Whether or not Hubbard suits up for the Panthers’ preseason finale should be a solid indicator of his regular season availability. Sanders and Hubbard’s injuries leave Raheem Blackshear with the starting job for the time being.
