If you’re not active in trades in your dynasty league, then your team will suffer because of it. Now is a great time to go shopping for some thrift store-quality steals in your league. Here are eight of my own personal favorite trade targets as we head into the season. Depending on the prices in your league, these guys could pay off big time as the fantasy season rolls along, so buy now and enjoy the ride!

8 Dynasty Buy-Low Trade Targets (2023 Fantasy Football)
Malik Willis (QB – TEN)
There were some Superflex dynasty leagues where Willis went first overall in rookie drafts prior to last year’s NFL draft. His fantasy ceiling was so high, but then he fell out of the first round. The Titans traded up to get him in the second, but the damage was done. He barely played for the team in 2022, and now it looks like they might be ready to move on without him.
I’m practically banking on Willis to get traded, which makes him worth stashing on your bench while you still can. He’s the prime buy-low candidate in Superflex leagues for that reason alone. His talent is still there, to a point, and I think a change of scenery could be just what he needs. If he gets traded, his value will go up, so I’d rather get him now before that bump occurs, even if it’s not a massive bump.
Miles Sanders (RB – CAR)
Sanders is currently ranked as RB21 in FantasyPros’ expert consensus rating (ECR), but there’s a very good chance that he finishes as an RB1 this year. Rookie QB Bryce Young and the Panthers’ offense will need to lean on him early and often if they’re going to succeed, and I think they will. Sanders doesn’t have much competition, either. He should see plenty of three-down work too, although Chuba Hubbard should be a good fill-in if needed. I’m not sure that Sanders is really that cheap right now, but depending on the manager that rosters him, you might be able to get him for a steal in your league.
Damien Harris (RB – BUF)
The news of Nyheim Hines being out for the year obviously plays a role in this one, but I’ve always been higher on Harris in dynasty than most. His departure from New England left some people scratching their heads, but landing in Buffalo turned everything around. He now looks poised to split carries with James Cook and potentially be flex worthy during bye weeks. I’m adding him while I still can as the Hines news might still be a little slow to get out.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB – KC)
Another potential winner due to injury is one of dynasty’s favorite running backs to hate in CEH. He vaulted up rookie draft boards after being picked 32nd by the Chiefs in 2020. His lackluster career thus far makes him the perfect post-hype sleeper on this list. Add to that Isaih Pacheco‘s recent injury concern, and this might finally be CEH’s year. He has underperformed for years, but now that the expectations are so low, he might be able to outperform this year. I love getting him as a throw-in on bigger deals or sending a 3rd rounder for him on teams where I’m contending. You never know, right?
Michael Pittman (WR – IND)
I was a fan of Pittman heading into last year and wasn’t exactly happy with the result personally. A WR20 overall finish and WR23 in points per game isn’t all that hot. However, the Colts drafted Anthony Richardson, and Pittman could be the main beneficiary. Richardson can run, and the Colts still have stud RB Jonathan Taylor, but Pittman should be the clear WR1. He could easily outperform his ECR of WR25. I’m all over Pittman at that cost, and maybe his current manager is ready to move on for a second or another younger player.
Mike Evans (WR – TB)
If you told me I could get a WR2 for this season at ECR WR42, I’d tell you you’re crazy. That’s Mike Evans. Obviously, he no longer has the GOAT Tom Brady throwing him passes, but he’s reached 1,000 yards in every season of his career. Regardless of who is under center, I won’t be surprised if he does it again. The Bucs are going to be playing from behind often, and I think Evans can still get open downfield. I love points, and Evans is great at scoring them. If his price is this low, then I’m all for adding him to my roster, even if that’s where he’ll retire in a year or two.
Courtland Sutton (WR – DEN)
Not far behind Evans in terms of ECR is Courtland Sutton at WR48. The Broncos were disappointing last year, as was Sutton. He finished as WR43 in terms of points per game while playing 15 games. He was bad, no doubt about it. That’s why his price is so low now. But the Broncos are under new management, specifically Sean Payton. I’m expecting everyone on the Broncos to see an uptick in production, which obviously includes Sutton. I’m trying to acquire him now before others catch on, and you should too.
Gerald Everett (TE – LAC)
I get that age matters in dynasty, but points should matter more. Everett is currently TE25 in FantasyPros’ ECR, technically a TE3 in 12-team leagues. That’s absurd to me. Sure, he just turned 29, but he’s still playing in a high-powered offense with a great QB in Justin Herbert. He finished as TE13 overall and TE15 in PPG last season. That kind of production doesn’t grow on trees, especially at the tight-end position. You could do much worse for this year, and at his current cost, I’d happily be adding Everett over almost anyone else on this list. He should be on every roster you have if you want to score points. It’s as simple as that.
