Churning the back end of your roster in dynasty leagues can help you unearth some diamonds in the rough. It’s essential always to be mindful of which end-of-bench players are worth monitoring in your leagues. Patience is a virtue for these players, but if you have large benches or your league utilizes a taxi squad, it can be worth the wait if those players eventually pan out.
Here are four players I’m keen on stashing at the end of my roster in dynasty leagues. Whether they’re available on waivers or need to be selected later in startups, these are names worth monitoring.

4 Players to Stash in 2023 Dynasty Leagues
Puka Nacua (WR – LAR)

Despite positive reviews thus far through the offseason, the hype around Puka Nacua has been quiet. He’s in the running to push for the third wide receiver role for the Rams, who need to find reliable contributors behind Cooper Kupp. He profiles best as an option on the perimeter who should thrive in contested catch situations. Nacua is currently ranked as the WR96, according to FantasyPros Dynasty Rankings, but he has a realistic shot to see playing time for a team that could attempt more than 600 passes in 2023 if Matthew Stafford stays healthy.
Eric Gray (RB – NYG)
The Giants and Saquon Barkley have at least temporarily resolved the contract standoff that occurred earlier this offseason. However, the Giants still lack much depth behind Barkley. If Barkley was to miss any time in 2023, Gray could be called upon in a larger-than-expected role in the short term. Gray also could hold long-term value, especially if the Giants fail to reach a long-term agreement with Barkley beyond this year.
Gray is a capable runner and receiver and is currently being drafted late enough in drafts (ADP 197.83, RB62) that he’s worth stashing to wait and see what happens.
Jeremy Ruckert (TE – NYJ)

Jeremy Ruckert has seen playing time with the first-team offense at Jets camp and looks to be developing an excellent rapport with Aaron Rodgers. He played behind Tyler Conklin and C.J. Uzomah in 2022, but he will push to get on the field more often in 2023. Ruckert won’t be a target hog this season, but he has all the talent to eventually be TE1 for the Jets, and it could come as soon as the end of the 2023 season. Conklin will likely pace the position group in target share this season. However, I’m buying the discounted price tag for Ruckert, who is ranked outside the top 50 tight ends per our dynasty rankings.
Keaontay Ingram (RB – ARI)
From a sheer talent and athleticism standpoint, Keaontay Ingram might be the least appealing player on this list. But what he could have in front of him is opportunity, which can be king at the running back position. James Conner is entrenched as the starting running back on a Cardinals offense that figures to lean heavily on the run while Kyler Murray returns from injury. If he were to miss any time, nothing else is currently standing in the way of Ingram assuming a large workload.
Ingram is being drafted as the RB77. He’s essentially free in drafts and could still be available on several waiver wires. If I have an extra bench spot, I’m content holding Ingram there, even solely for handcuff value ahead of the 2023 season.
