Elijah Moore viewed as a versatile weapon

Elijah Moore has been viewed as a versatile weapon for the Browns’ offense. Browns beat reporter Anthony Poisal said Moore could be used as an “outside, slot, and backfield player”.

Fantasy Impact

Moore certainly showed flashes in his rookie year before dealing with inconsistent usage and quarterback play in his second season. Moore is at worst the Browns WR3, with the potential to be the No.2 receiver by years end and beyond, depending on the status of Donovan Peoples-Jones. Moving to a new team with some questions at quarterback raises questions about his fantasy ceiling, but if he hits he’ll be a huge draft-day score for fantasy managers.

Hendon Hooker (ACL) begins camp on Reserve/Non-Football Injury list

Hendon Hooker, the Lions 2023 third-round draft pick, has been placed on the NFI list to begin camp, as he recovers from a torn ACL suffered during his 2022 campaign at Tennessee.

Fantasy Impact

Hooker boasted an impressive senior year in 2022, with over 30 total TDs and only two INTs, before he tore his ACL late in the season. The Lions took a swing on the Tennessee product in the third round, and while Jared Goff will certainly start this season, if he gets hurt Hooker has a great chance to see action once he is activated from the NFI list. Hooker is not worth a roster spot in standard leagues but may be worth a pick in Superflex dynasty league rookie drafts.

Isiah Pacheco ‘100%’ expects to be ready for regular season

Kansas City Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (hand, shoulder) told reporters Thursday that he “100%” expects to be ready for the start of the regular season.

Fantasy Impact

Pacheco said he suffered the injuries in the AFC Championship, which are now forcing him to be non-contact during training camp. The sophomore back said he will be ramping up intensity over time and expects to be full-go by the start of the season, but he is just doing individual drills for now. Pacheco had 830 yards on just 170 carries as a rookie, starting 11 games. He said his goal for the 2023 season was 1,000 yards, and with RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire buried on the depth chart, Pacheco could easily return on his half-PPR value of RB28.
