Dak Prescott aiming to limit turnovers in 2023

Dak Prescott, coming off of a season in which he threw a career-high 15 INTs, was quoted saying “I won’t have 10 interceptions this year.”

Fantasy Impact

Prescott mentioned in the interview that his receivers were partially responsible for his high amount of interceptions in 2022, but made sure to not fully discard the blame from himself. If Prescott can limit the turnovers, he could vault into the ranks of mid-tier QB1. With the departure of play-caller Kellen Moore in the offseason, Prescott could be a volatile pick with some upside in 2023. As it currently stands the 29-year-old veteran is the consensus QB10 in standard half-ppr leagues.

Isiah Pacheco may be on PUP to begin training camp

Isiah Pacheco may be added to the PUP list and could miss the start of training camp. Pacheco is currently recovering from a hand injury and shoulder surgery.

Fantasy Impact

Pacheco was a valuable piece in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl run in 2022, and that seems unlikely to change as they look to defend their title in 2023. It’s a matter of how much Pacheco will be available. Hopefully, he won’t miss any regular season time, but no decision about that has been made to this point. If he is back before the regular season, drafting him as a dependable RB3 looks to be the way to go.

Bill Belichick reportedly on the hot seat entering 2023

Patriots insider Tom Curran stated, “He’s been there with different levels of warmth since 2019.” in regards to Bill Belichick being on the hot seat this season.

Fantasy Impact

Belichick is arguably the greatest coach in NFL history, but there have been questions surrounding his status since before the 2020 season. Belichick’s Patriots have posted a 25-25 record over the last three seasons and have only made the playoffs once during that span. After appearing in the postseason 17 times with Tom Brady at quarterback, it is understandable that ownership may want to move in a new direction should the Patriots struggle in 2023. Curran added that Jerod Mayo could be the next in line should the team part ways will Belichick.
