Breece Hall: Jets optimistic RB will be ready for Week 1

Breece Hall, who was placed on the PUP list to begin training camp, has a realistic chance to suit up in Week 1.

Fantasy Impact

Hall can be activated from the PUP list at any time, meaning he could still play in Week 1. In a recent article, Rich Cimini mentioned that Hall had reached 23 MPH working out on the side. If Hall is ready to go in Week 1 it would be a great sign that the second-year back is poised to build off a strong injury-plagued rookie campaign. The only thing that might get in his way is the looming possibility of Dalvin Cook signing with the Jets.

Javonte Williams not on PUP list

Javonte Williams will not start training camp on the PUP list.

Fantasy Impact

Avoiding the PUP list continues the drumbeat of him being ready for the season, which he alluded to earlier in July when he said he would be ready to go. Although this is a positive sign, it remains to be seen how cautious the Broncos will be with him in training camp. If he is 100% for week one, he will look to build upon the 1,000 total yards he gained in his rookie season in 2021. If he has any limitations, newly-acquired Samaje Perine should lead Denver’s backfield.

Rashod Bateman reinstated from Reserve/Did Not Report list

The Baltimore Ravens have activated WR Rashod Bateman from the reserve/did not report list.

Fantasy Impact

Bateman didn’t show up to to camp on Friday, which led to him being placed on the reserve/did not report list. He was present at camp on Sunday, however, and the team has now reinstated and activated him, making him good to go for Baltimore’s training camp. His injury is still somewhat of an concern for fantasy managers at this point, but him being present and on the field is a good sign for his health and overall availability as we draw closer to the season.
