Breece Hall placed on PUP list to begin training camp

Breece Hall was put on the PUP list Wednesday, perhaps indicating an uphill battle to finding himself in the Week 1 starting lineup.

Fantasy Impact

Hall burst onto the scene as a dual-threat rookie back in 2022, but his stellar campaign was cut short due to a torn ACL. The Iowa St product managed almost six yards-per-carry before getting injured, and now with Aaron Rodgers in town, the Jets should see even more scoring opportunities. It is worth monitoring Hall’s injury status leading up to the season, but when he does come back he has a chance to be a bonafide RB1.

Isiah Pacheco practicing Wednesday in non-contact vest

Isiah Pacheco is participating in practice Wednesday, but is in a non-contact yellow vest.

Fantasy Impact

Pacheco is currently recovering from a hand injury and shoulder surgery and is a candidate to start training camp on the PUP list. Participating in a non-contact vest is at least a positive sign that he is trending in the right direction. Fantasy managers will have to wait deeper into training camp before we know if Pacheco is going to miss any time to start the season.

Randall Cobb on PUP to start training camp

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, WR Randall Cobb will begin training camp on the physically unable to perform list.

Fantasy Impact

Starting on the PUP isn’t usually a big deal, but his situation should be monitored to make sure he’s lifted before the start of the season. Cobb, a 12-year veteran, joined the Jets after his second stint with Rodgers in Green Bay. Cobb will bring a veteran presence and could help install Rodgers’ style of play in New York, though he likely won’t hold much fantasy relevance, even when healthy, catching 34 passes for 417 yards.
