DJ Moore for Kenneth Walker III

Which side wins?

Team getting DJ Moore

  • Pat Fitzmaurice
  • Joe Pisapia

Team getting Kenneth Walker III

  • Mike Maher
  • Andrew Erickson
  • Ryan Wormeli

Takeaways

Walker’s rookie season was convincing, but his limitations as a pass catcher might cap his ceiling. Moore turned 26 in the spring and already has three 1,100-yard seasons under his belt. With Moore joining a run-heavy offense in Chicago, enthusiasm for him seems to have dampened. But the Bears won’t continue to be as heavy as they were in 2022, and I think Bears QB Justin Fields has substantial upside as a passer.

DJ Moore for James Cook & George Pickens

Which side wins?

Team getting DJ Moore

  • Derek Brown
  • Joe Pisapia
  • Ryan Wormeli
  • Mike Maher
  • Andrew Erickson

Team getting James Cook & George Pickens

  • Mike Maher

Takeaways

I have major concerns about Pickens’ ability to be a consistent target earner. He didn’t have more than eight targets in any game last season, and he didn’t have more than six targets in any game from Week 6 on. Pickens was near the bottom of the wide receiver rankings in separation, per Next Gen Stats, and he averaged just 2.0 yards after the catch. Cook is just a committee back. I wouldn’t even consider trading away a talented young receiver like Moore for a package this light.

DJ Moore for Quentin Johnston & Tank Bigsby

Which side wins?

Team getting DJ Moore

  • Pat Fitzmaurice

Team getting Quentin Johnston & Tank Bigsby

  • Derek Brown
  • Joe Pisapia
  • Ryan Wormeli
  • Mike Maher
  • Andrew Erickson

Takeaways

Johnston is an exciting prospect, but I worry that his unreliable hands could keep him from reaching his potential. Had Johnston been a top-10 overall draft pick, I might be more willing to dive in headfirst, but he was drafted 21st overall — the same spot in which Jalen Reagor was drafted. Bigsby is a wild card. He could be a gem or a dud. Give me Moore, a proven commodity, over the two rookies.
