Dynasty Trade Advice

Here are trade proposals based on our Dynasty Trade Value Chart. And here are who our analysts feel will win these trades.

Breece Hall or A.J. Brown

Which side wins?

Team getting Breece Hall

  • Andrew Erickson

Team getting A.J. Brown

  • Derek Brown
  • Pat Fitzmaurice
  • Joe Pisapia
  • Ryan Wormeli
  • Mike Maher

Takeaways

I love Hall’s game and am undaunted by the ACL tear that waylaid his rookie season. Still, I couldn’t part with A.J. Brown to get Hall.

Brown is a remarkable physical specimen coming off a tour-de-force season in which he finished with 88-1496-11. The only time he’s failed to produce 1,000 yards in his four NFL season was when he missed four games in 2021. He’s scored double-digit touchdowns in two of his four seasons and had eight TDs as a rookie.

Brown is the more valuable dynasty asset.

Breece Hall or Cam Akers & Rashod Bateman

Which side wins?

Team getting Breece Hall

  • Mike Maher
  • Andrew Erickson
  • Derek Brown
  • Pat Fitzmaurice
  • Joe Pisapia

Team getting Cam Akers & Rashod Bateman

  • Ryan Wormeli

Takeaways

As bullish as I am on Cam Akers, I don’t think he’s on Hall’s level, and I don’t think Bateman adequately bridges the gap between the two running backs.

Hall was on his way to a terrific rookie season. He scored a touchdown in each of his last four games and averaged 117 yards from scrimmage over that stretch. His recovery from a torn ACL is reportedly going well, and FantasyPros’ own Dr. Deepak Chona expects Hall to return to RB1-type production by around Week 6.

After a season of yo-yo usage in 2022, Akers had a strong finish, leading the NFL in rushing over the final six weeks of the regular season and ranking RB4 in PPR scoring over that stretch. He topped 100 rushing yards in each of his last three games. His future seems bright, but Akers tore his Achilles two years ago, and though he came back remarkably early, he didn’t seem to be 100% upon his return. It’s also somewhat concerning that Rams head coach Sean McVay was reluctant to get Akers more involved early last season.

Bateman, a first-round pick in 2021, has missed 16 games in his first two seasons and has averaged 44.4 receiving yards per game when he’s played.

Hall is the best player in the deal, and the Akers-Bateman combo doesn’t quite match Hall’s value.

Breece Hall or Christian Watson & Isiah Pacheco

Which side wins?

Team getting Breece Hall

  • Andrew Erickson
  • Derek Brown
  • Pat Fitzmaurice
  • Joe Pisapia
  • Ryan Wormeli

Team getting Christian Watson & Isiah Pacheco

  • Joe Pisapia

Takeaways

Hall’s performance early last season was eye-opening. If he fully recovers from his torn ACL — and there’s little reason to think he won’t — he could give fantasy managers elite production for years to come.

Watson is big (6-4, 208), fast (4.36), and he flashed big-time potential by scoring eight touchdowns over a four-game stretch. But Watson’s rookie-year production was sporadic, and the Packers’ transition at quarterback from Aaron Rodgers to Jordan Love could be bumpy.

A seventh-round draft pick, Pacheco was a pleasant rookie surprise, rushing for 830 yards and five touchdowns. He might have very limited pass-catching upside, however, and I worry that his fearless running style could lead to injuries.

Hall is a fairly easy choice here.

-Pat Fitzmaurice
