Acuna has been on fire all season, and I really regret not punching a +900 NL MVP bet on Ronald prior to the year. He is now the odds-on favorite to take home the award.
Tonight he and the Braves take on Kyle Freeland and the Rockies. Acuna is 3-8 with a home run against Freeland. Unsurprisingly, he rates extremely well against Freeland’s four primary pitches. He has eclipsed this mark in nine of his last 13 and is 22-59 with six doubles and four homers over this span. Even if Acuna doesn’t get this done against Freeland, he should be able to versus this Rockies bullpen that is fourth worst in terms of xFIP.
