Dynasty Trade Advice
Here are trade proposals based on our Dynasty Trade Value Chart. And here are who our analysts feel will win these trades.
Jonathan Taylor or CeeDee Lamb
Which side wins?
Team getting Jonathan Taylor
- Pat Fitzmaurice
Team getting CeeDee Lamb
- Derek Brown
- Mike Maher
- Andrew Erickson
- Joe Pisapia
- Ryan Wormeli
Takeaways
I’m the lone wolf who prefers Taylor, although it’s close — I have them separated by one spot in my overall dynasty rankings. Lamb is a special player and will be a WR1 for a long time. But Taylor is pretty special, too, and there are just so few cornerstone running backs for dynasty. I’d only put Taylor, Bihan Robinson, Breece Hall and possibly Jahmyr Gibbs in that class. (Christian McCaffrey and Saquon Barkley are a little too old to be considered dynasty cornerstones.) Let’s not forget that Taylor scored 32 touchdowns in his first 32 NFL games, or that he led the league in rushing in 2021 and averaged 127.7 yards from scrimmage per game.
-Pat Fitzmaurice
Jonathan Taylor or Jordan Addison + Antonio Gibson
Which side wins?
Team getting Jonathan Taylor
- Mike Maher
- Andrew Erickson
- Derek Brown
- Pat Fitzmaurice
- Joe Pisapia
- Ryan Wormeli
Team getting CeeDee Lamb
- N/A
Takeaways
Taylor is a slam dunk here. Addison has first-round draft capital and a seemingly bright future, but ordinary athleticism could limit his ceiling. Gibson is big, fast, catches passes and has already had two seasons with double-digit touchdowns, but the Commanders were reluctant to hand him a substantial role last season after his fumbling problems in 2021, so it’s hard to assume he’ll have anything more than a time-share role.
-Pat Fitzmaurice
Jonathan Taylor or J.K. Dobbins + Diontae Johnson
Which side wins?
Team getting Jonathan Taylor
- Mike Maher
- Andrew Erickson
- Derek Brown
- Pat Fitzmaurice
- Joe Pisapia
- Ryan Wormeli
Team getting CeeDee Lamb
- N/A
Takeaways
Taylor gets the nod here. He’s a top-three dynasty running back. Dobbins may still have elite-RB upside if he’s fully recovered from the devastating knee injury he sustained in the 2021 preseason, but a small sample of late-season success in 2022 doesn’t make it a given. Dobbins probably won’t ever be a prolific pass catcher either. Johnson is a solid WR2/WR3, but he’s averaged 10.7 yards per catch and 6.6 yards per target for his career — number that don’t exactly quicken pulses. Take the star over two solid but perhaps limited-ceiling contributors.
