Here are trade proposals based on our Dynasty Trade Value Chart. And here are who our analysts feel will win these trades.
Deebo Samuel for Treylon Burks
Which side wins?
Team getting Deebo Samuel
- Mike Maher
- Andrew Erickson
Team getting Treylon Burks
- Derek Brown
- Pat Fitzmaurice
- Joe Pisapia
- Ryan Wormeli
Takeaways
I can’t say I’m 100% sold on Burks, but I’m pulling out my wallet and reaching for a credit card. The knock on him coming out of Arkansas in 2022 was that he relied on a lot of manufactured touches close to the line of scrimmage, but Burks had an average depth of target of 11.6 yards as a rookie and managed to be efficient while working deeper downfield than he did in college. I’ll take him over Deebo, who IS a manufactured-touch guy and probably isn’t going to get as much work in the running game now that the 49ers are loaded at the RB position.
- Pat Fitzmaurice
Deebo Samuel for Quentin Johnston
Which side wins?
Team getting Deebo Samuel
- Pat Fitzmaurice
- Mike Maher
- Andrew Erickson
- Ryan Wormeli
Team getting Quentin Johnston
- Derek Brown
- Joe Pisapia
Takeaways
I have them adjacent to each other in my dynasty rankings, with Deebo one spot higher. I don’t think Deebo will ever match the electrifying season he had in 2021, but at the very least he’s an established playmaker. Johnston *could be* an established playmaker, but his frying-pan hands could be a problem if he doesn’t fix his catching technique.
- Pat Fitzmaurice
Deebo Samuel for George Pickens + Tyjae Spears
Which side wins?
Team getting Deebo Samuel
- Derek Brown
- Pat Fitzmaurice
- Andrew Erickson
Team getting George Pickens + Tyjae Spears
- Mike Maher
- Joe Pisapia
- Ryan Wormeli
Takeaways
This is a pretty even deal, but I’m leaning slightly toward Deebo. Pickens is an acrobat on contested catches, but his inability to separate from defenders is worrisome. His target rate as a rookie was alarmingly low. Spears has a knee condition that could shorten his career a la Jay Ajayi. Give me the one stable asset over two unstable assets.
- Pat Fitzmaurice
Hopefully, this can help you as you navigate the trade waters of your dynasty fantasy football league.
