Dynasty Trade Advice
Here are trade proposals based on our Dynasty Trade Value Chart. And here are who our analysts feel will win these trades.
Austin Ekeler for Kenneth Walker III
Which side wins?
Team getting Austin Ekeler
- Mike Maher
- Andrew Erickson
- Derek Brown
- Joe Pisapia
- Ryan Wormeli
Team getting Kenneth Walker III
- Pat Fitzmaurice
Takeaways
I’m the lone voice in the wilderness backing the Walker side of the deal. And, hey, I understand that the Seahawks’ drafting of Zach Charbonnet is terrifying for Walker investors. But Walker demonstrated last season that he’s going to have a productive NFL career. Ekeler, meanwhile, is 28 and approaching the twilight of his career. I don’t know if he’s a good bet to repeat last year’s massive target and reception totals now that new OC Kellen Moore has arrived to (hopefully) make the Chargers’ offense more vertical and less horizontal. Give me the younger guy here.

Austin Ekeler for Brandon Aiyuk
Which side wins?
Team getting Austin Ekeler
- Mike Maher
- Andrew Erickson
- Joe Pisapia
- Ryan Wormeli
Team getting Brandon Aiyuk
- Derek Brown
- Pat Fitzmaurice
Takeaways
If your team is in win-now mode, Ekeler is the choice here. But for long-term value, it has to be Aiyuk. He topped 1,000 yards for the first time last year and also established new career highs in receptions (78) and touchdowns (8), even though the 49ers had a revolving-door QB situation all season. Aiyuk just turned 25 and should be a rock-solid RB2 for years to come.

Austin Ekeler for Cam Akers and Jalin Hyatt
Which side wins?
Team getting Austin Ekeler
- Mike Maher
- Andrew Erickson
- Derek Brown
- Pat Fitzmaurice
- Joe Pisapia
- Ryan Wormeli
Team getting Cam Akers and Jalin Hyatt
- None
Takeaways
I’m pro-Akers, but the Ekeler side is a slam dunk here. Even if the 28-year-old Ekeler only has two more productive years left, it’s a safe bet he’s going to produce RB1 numbers as long as he’s healthy. Akers’ strong finish to the 2022 season offers hope, but it was a small sample size, and it came after he had fallen out of favor with Rams head coach Sean McVay. Akers is anything but a sure thing. Same with Hyatt, who has blazing speed but isn’t a sure bet for NFL success after playing in a prolific but gimmicky offense at the University of Tennessee.
